New Free And Open Source CRM And ERP Product
After deploying CRM software solutions to few clients we have noticed the need for a new free and open source software. Most available open source CRM and ERP software written in PHP programming language lack several important aspects. We are on a mission to cover them with our new product.

What technologies do we use?
- The web application is being written in PHP programming language
- We intend to support MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
What is the licensing policy?
- OSI approved license. Most likely we will release the software under GNU GPL
- At the moment we don't think we will have multiple versions of the software based on license. The add on modules and plugins will also follow the same licensing policy as the core software.
Will there be a community around the project?
Of course yes. We are yet to do a lot of things. One among them is to put the software code to publicly accessible repositories. We also understand the need for a wiki or a project site. Expect these to be up and running in few weeks. Once we have the version control and download repository along with the project website, we will be able to better coordinate and build the community. We welcome all types of contributions to the project.
What are the salient features of the CRM software?
- Support for branch offices
- Warehouse management
- Integrated ERP and CRM solution. Although we will start with CRM we intend to build a full fledged ERP in the future.
What are the commercial services offered by Binary Vibes on top of the product?
- Installation services
- Requirement specific add on modules and plugins
- Custom software maintenance
- Hosted solutions

Features for distribution sales are also considered. Whether they come in the core or add on modules is yet to be determined.

One more important feature for most of the organisations would be
Channel/ partner management..
I am sure you understand, branch and channel partners are two different things.
simplest feature in this regard would be..
1. Partner registration
2. account locking system
3. reports to track accounts, prospects, closures, financial performance(total business done through that partner), ORC(over riding commission, if any) passed on and stock locked/picked up by individual partner.
